The leaves are turning yellow and orange and there's a smell of autumn in the air. The fact that I've been eating breakfast in front of the fire for the past few weeks is a definite indicator that winter's on it's way.
I've even fed the birds for the first time since the spring. Today I've seen blue tits, great tits and a few nuthatches. And last night there was a male deer munching on something on the driveway. I think it was acorns. Do deer eat acorns??
Today I plan to clean the greenhouse, just the outside. I still have loads of tomatoes and chillies growing in there. Wonder how long they'll survive?
